ABOUT
I am Beatrice Foti (1999), an Italian photographer based in Venice.
My background in Cultural Anthropology has led me to conceive photography not only as a tool for documentation, but also as a means of reflection and inquiry into reality.
I first developed my skills in street photography, event photography, and reportage, experiences that allowed me to refine my sensitivity toward spontaneous moments and human interaction. Today, however, my work focuses primarily on landscape and travel photography, through which I explore the relationship between human beings and the spaces they inhabit.
For me, landscape photography is a way to discover both the world and myself. Traveling and encountering different cultures have broadened my perspective and nurtured an open, contemplative approach that shapes my visual language.
Along my artistic journey, I earned a Master’s degree in Digital Photography in Australia, an experience that enriched my technical and conceptual approach.
Through my photographic practice I aim to encourage a conscious gaze, inviting viewers to question their own way of perceiving and inhabiting the world.
